In Hebrews 12:2,3 it reads, "Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart." I can read those verses a thousand times, and still cannot wrap my brain around how much He loved us.
We are all faced with daily struggles. Sinful thoughts and deeds are inherent in us, but we don't have to accept the temptations as unavoidable consequence. God wants us to live as Christ did. A pretty tall order. Although we can't be perfect, we can work hard to give up the things that endanger our relationship with Him. If we keep our eyes on Him, we will not stumble and we will be rewarded. Jesus gave us redemption on the cross; he was the atonement for our sins. And today He is risen. Live for Him today.
-Heavenly Father thank you for sending your Son to save us. Thank you for your Word that guides and strengthens us. Help us to be bold in our daily walk and glorify you in word and deed. You are the light of the world and the rock of our salvation. Amen
